For information only, not advice
Everything on Bitu — articles, calculators, examples, checklists — is for information and learning only, and does not constitute any investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, nor an offer or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any crypto asset. We write about "how this feature works, how this fee is calculated, what traps are here," not "what you should buy or when." The latter can only be judged by you, or by a licensed professional you trust.
The risks of crypto assets
Crypto is a high-risk class — please take this seriously:
- Prices are highly volatile. Big swings within a single day are common, and you can lose all your capital. Only ever use spare money you can afford to lose without it affecting your life.
- Leveraged futures are riskier still. Leverage magnifies losses and can liquidate you and zero out your capital in a very short time. Beginners especially should stay away — see our piece on the difference between spot and futures.
- Actions are irreversible. Once a transfer or withdrawal is on-chain it usually can't be undone, and a wrong address or network can mean coins lost outright.
- Platform and counterparty risk. An exchange itself can run into trouble; keeping coins on an exchange long-term is not zero-risk.
Regulation differs by place — follow your local law
Different countries and regions treat the law and taxation of crypto assets very differently — some encourage it, some restrict it, some ban it. It's your responsibility to understand and follow the laws and regulations where you are, including whether trading is allowed and how to report taxes. This site's content isn't aimed at any particular jurisdiction and doesn't represent that it's legal or suitable where you are. If in doubt, consult a local professional.
Data changes — go by the official page
Information like rates, confirmation times, feature locations, and event rules is adjusted by platforms from time to time. We try to note when we checked and to give official sources, but we don't guarantee the content is always accurate or current. When you actually act, go by whatever the official pages of Binance and others show at the time — don't treat a number we wrote as an unchanging fact. If you find something out of date or wrong, do tell us (see contact), and we'll correct it and log it in the corrections log.
Third-party links aren't endorsements
The site may link to external sites like Binance's official pages, block explorers, and third-party explainers. These links are only to make it easier for you to verify or read further, and don't mean we're responsible for or endorse their content, security, or availability. Once you open an external site, the other side's terms and privacy policy apply — judge for yourself.
Disclosure of the promotional relationship
This site contains Binance's invite code BN0128 and promotional links. If you register with Binance through our links or invite code, we may earn a referral commission from Binance, which is how this site is funded. This doesn't add to your cost — registering through the invite code gets you a proportional discount on trading fees (around up to 20% off Binance fees for our code; the actual rate is whatever Binance's page shows). The rebate also doesn't affect how honestly we write the pros, cons, and risks. You're entirely free to read the content and not use our links. More on the About Bitu page.
